Digital Wallets offer a convenient, secure way to make contactless payments from the convenience of a mobile phone or other smart device. As part of our commitment to further improve mobile-first member experiences, HealthEquity debit cards can now be added to Apple Wallet®, Google Wallet™, and Samsung Wallet®.1
What is a Digital Wallet?
Digital Wallets allow members to securely store payment information to a mobile phone or other smart device—from debit cards to transit passes. Once a payment method is saved, members can simply tap their device to make secure payments at compatible card readers which accept their Digital Wallet. Like their physical card, the card in the Wallet can only be used to pay for eligible expenses.
How Members get started
To add their HealthEquity card to a Digital Wallet and make a payment, members will simply:
Open their preferred Digital Wallet app.
Add their HealthEquity card information as prompted.
Follow the steps to verify their information
Open their Wallet and select the HealthEquity card.
Hold their smart device up to a payment terminal or card reader.
Wait for the checkmark to appear confirming the transaction was processed
