SaveOnSP, a service that helps participating members enroll in manufacturer copay assistance programs for specialty prescription drugs (Tier 4 and 5) is ending on May 31, 2024, for Commercial small group and Individual members.
This is a result of a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rule that all carriers will be required to follow. The rule classifies all covered drugs beyond what is covered in a state's essential health benefit (EHB) benchmark as EHB. This means all health plan covered drugs for small group and individual are now considered EHB.
Effective June 1, 2024, members using SaveOnSP will now pay their health plans applicable cost share for their prescription.
